Country music veteran Kenny Rogers pulled his property in Georgia from a planned auction on Tuesday (26Jun12) after agreeing a private sale at the last minute.
The legendary singer announced his plans to sell his famous Jackson County home earlier this year (12) and the expansive property, which boasts a lake, horse riding trails and even a go-cart track, was due to go under the hammer this week.
But the sale, held by representatives from the Grand Estates Auction Company, was halted at late notice and it was revealed that Rogers had sold the property himself for $2.25 million (£1.4 million).
