Country star Kenny Chesney's year keeps getting better - the newlywed
singer has just become the first performer to sell out three consecutive nights
at Atlanta, Georgia's Philips Arena.
Chesney, who wed Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger in May (05), sold
nearly 18,000 tickets for each show of a three-night stand at the venue, which
ended on Monday night (18JUL05).
Only Elton John and Elvis Presley have recorded similar feats in the city
- they both performed sell-out shows at former arena, the Omni.
To mark his record-breaking achievement, bosses at the venue presented
Chesney with a flat-screen TV.
