Celebrated Irish Author Eoin Colfer Has Been Commissioned To Write The Next Novel In The Iron Man Series By Bosses At Marvel.
Colfer, the man behind the beloved Artemis Fowl series of children's books, plans to release his take on Tony Stark's alter-ego next autumn (16).
Announcing the news on Tuesday (03Nov15), the Wexford-based writer said, "Some of you may have heard that I am doing an Iron Man book for Marvel which I'm very excited about. I'm hoping to take Tony Stark to some places he has never been before. Very possibly he will be visiting Ireland and will get himself into some severe trouble."
The former school teacher is the current Irish Laureate of Children's Books. His 2016 is shaping up to be quite a year - Kenneth Branagh is set to direct an adaptation of his first Artemis Fowl book and Colfer reveals that project will begin next year, too.
