LATEST: The man who heckled Barbra Streisand at her celebrity-packed New York City gig on Monday (09OCT06) may have been a government stooge, the singer's publicist hints.
The unnamed man took exception to Streisand's onstage digs at US PRESIDENT George W Bush demanding, "What is this? A fundraiser?"
He later left the gig after the singer retorted, "Why don't you shut the f**k up! If you can't take a joke, why don't you leave and get your money back."
Now her publicist Ken Sunshine suggests the taunts may have been pre-planned, revealing similar heckling took place at Streisand's Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, show last week (ends08OCT06).
He tells gossip site PageSix.com, "There's something a little weird about it."
Justin Timberlake stunned sick kids in New York City yesterday (28AUG06) when he made a surprise visit to the children's ward at Manhattan's Mount Sinai Hospital.
The singer followed up an appearance on Ellen Degeneres' talk show with a two hour walkabout at the hospital.
His representative Ken Sunshine tells the New York Daily News, "It was a surprise visit, and the kids were, like, screaming. He went all over the hospital, floor to floor. He does this kind of thing all the time."
LATEST: Justin Timberlake insists he has "great affection" for TAYLOR HICKS, after telling Fashion Rocks magazine the American Idol winner "can't carry a tune in a bucket".
The former 'N Sync heart-throb told the American publication of his disdain for the TV talent show, declaring he didn't see a long-term music career for Hicks, who won the Fox show in May (06).
Timberlake said, "People think he looks so normal and he's so sweet and he's so earnest, but he can't carry a tune in a bucket.
"If he has any skeletons whatsoever - if, God forbid, he's gay - and all these people in Mississippi who voted for him are like 'Oh, my God, I voted for a queer!' It's just too much pressure."
However, the LIKE I LOVE YOU hitmaker's publicist Ken Sunshine insists Timberlake wasn't trying to criticise Hicks, insisting, "These comments are taken completely out of context.
"Justin only wishes him well. He has great affection for anybody that puts himself out there the way he did."
Representatives for Nick Lachey have hit back at a student who has accused the singer of roughing him up when he tried to take a picture of him on his mobile phone on Friday night (28JUL06).
YOUNES RENAK, 18, claims Lachey went crazy when he tried to snap a photo of him inside an elevator at 2am, and began pushing him around.
The alleged altercation kicked off at the fashionable Rivergate apartment building in New York City, where Lachey's girlfriend, TV presenter VANESSA MINNILLO lives.
Renak's lawyer SAUL BIENENFELD tells the New York Post's Page Six, "It was a cell phone (camera), wasn't a paparazzi kind of thing. We're talking about an 18-year-old kid taking in life in the big city."
Bienenfeld says his client is considering suing the WHAT'S LEFT OF ME singer.
Meanwhile, Lachey's representatives have slammed the claims, insisting Renak started harassing Lachey at a drugstore and then followed him into the building and the elevator.
The singer's lawyer MITCH SCHUSTER says, "We believe it was a lot more than a young man trying to take a picture."
Lachey's publicist Ken Sunshine adds, "This harassment with camera phones - it's just out of control."
Renak says he still has the cell phone and pictures of Lachey, although he refused to share them with the publication.
Pop star Justin Timberlake insists his former 'N Sync bandmate Lance Bass, who has just revealed he is gay, has his full support.
Bass came out yesterday (26JUL06) on the cover of American publication People.
In a statement issued by his representative Ken Sunshine, Timberlake says, "Lance is one of my great friends. I support him and wish him all the happiness in the world."
Bass tells the magazine that he hesitated to come out during his time with the boy band because "I knew I was in this popular band, and I had four other guys' careers in my hand.
"I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything."
Another former bandmate, Joey Fatone, is also standing by his friend saying, "He took years to really think about how he was going to tell everyone. I back him up 100 per cent."
LATEST: Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz have headed to Paris, France, for a romantic getaway as they move on from their relationship's 'rough patch'.
The singer and actress, who have been dating for three years, were seen enjoying in a romantic sunlit stroll through the capital known as 'The City Of Love'.
Last month (21JUN06), veteran Hollywood reporter JANET CHARLTON reported on her website that 24-year-old Timberlake had dumped Diaz, 33, so he could "sow his wild oats" on his upcoming world tour.
The reports were quickly rubbished by Timberlake's publicist Ken Sunshine, who insists his client's relationship is as happy as ever.
The CRY ME A RIVER chart-topper, who previously dated Britney Spears, was reported to be tired of Diaz after she followed him to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was relaxing with his pals.
Fans are turning their backs on Barbra Streisand's new tour because of outrageous ticket prices, according to reports.
The diva is struggling to sell out concerts where tickets cost up to $800 (GBP444) each and promoters are concerned, claims PageSix.com.
Fans are also annoyed the tour comes six years after her official 'farewell tour' and frustrated by Streisand's reluctance to commit to promised charity donations, which means ticket-buyers can't write off the cost as a tax deduction.
A source tells PageSix, "Some cities (like) Detroit, where they wanted to do two days, are less than 3,000 sold."
The site claims promoters are considering changing venues for the tour - which kicks off in October (06) - and putting on shows in smaller auditoriums.
Streisand's tour spokesman Ken Sunshine insists the reports are false, blasting, "That is bulls**t. Tickets are going through the moon."
Meanwhile, the 64-year-old is facing lawsuits from disgruntled fans who bought tickets to her 2000 tour believing it to be her last.
