Basshunter and DJ Theo Mental's Now You're Gone has topped the UK singles charts for the fourth week in a row.

The dance track outsold Adele to stay at number one, though the rising star saw her debut album 19 reach the top spot in the album charts after its first week on release.

Nickelback stayed in third in its 12th week on the singles chart and former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland rose three places with Work to fourth spot in the chart.

Rihanna continued a year of success with new single Don't Stop The Music entering at five and Hot Chip grabbed their first top ten hit with Ready for the Floor.

Though her troubled mental state may have created more headlines than her music of late, Britney Spears stays in the top ten with Piece of Me falling one place to number seven, while Lupe Fiasco's Superstar drops three places to eighth.

And youthful indie kids One Night Only crashed in at nine with new single Just for Tonight while R 'n' B star David Jordan climbed 12 places with Switch to round out the top ten.

Nickelback climbed to third in the album charts while Welsh metallers Bullet For My Valentine entered at five with second album Scream Aim Fire.
