Kelly Preston, the actress and wife of John Travolta, has claimed in an interview with Health magazine that her devotion to the controversial tenets of Scientology helped her overcome the sudden death or her son Jett, who died of a seizure, aged only 16 in 2009. She spoke of her relationship with Travolta, her friendship with fellow Scientologist KIRSTY ALLEY and how she depended upon the Church of Scientology during her time of crisis: "Johnny is definitely my rock. Kirstie [Alley] is one of my absolute best friends. My mom, my brother. And to be honest, the Scientology center. I don't know if I would have made it through without it."
She opened up about how the news that she had become pregnant again with their new son Benjamin, born last November, also helped the couple to overcome their loss: "We had been trying for quite a few years, and then of course there was a time when we weren't, and then we started trying again," she explained. "When I found out I was pregnant, I was floored. I'd snuck out of bed and then came back and woke Johnny up in bed. We both started crying. It was wonderful." The full interview appears in September's issue of Health magazine.
