Kelly Osbourne is to star in the West End musical Chicago, according to reports.
The 22-year-old daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne is to play prison matron Mama Morton in the London stage show, it has emerged.
London's Cambridge Theatre confirmed yesterday that Osbourne will be taking part in the musical for a seven-week run, the Associated Press reports.
Osbourne, who first found fame in reality TV series The Osbournes, will make her West End debut on September 10th and reportedly star in the show until October 27th.
The reality-TV star turned pop singer will be following in the footSteps of singer Alison Moyet and US rapper Queen Latifah, who have both taken the role of Mama Morton in respective stage and film versions of Chicago.
Like other stars before her who have got into shape to perform in the gruelling stage show, Osbourne has slimmed down in preparation for the role, the Daily Mirror has claimed.
News of Osbourne's involvement in Chicago comes after reports that her father has been released from hospital after undergoing surgery on a blood clot in his leg.
Ozzy Osbourne - whose duet with his daughter, Changes, reached number one in 2003 was reportedly discharged from the Rose medical centre in Denver, Colorado, yesterday.
