Former ‘Fashion Police’ panelist Kelly Osbourne has finally opened up about her exit from the E! series during an appearance on CBS daytime show, ‘The Talk’. The 30 year old left the series last month, following the controversy surrounding co-host Giuliana Rancic’s remarks about singer Zendaya’s dreadlocked hair at the Oscars.

Kelly appeared alongside her mother, panelist Sharon Osbourne, on the talk show Tuesday morning where she described her time on the E! series as “the five best working years of my life.”

“I am so grateful for the experience, I can't even... working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible. I learned so much,” Osbourne added.

However now she’s left the series it’s time for her to focus on what’s to come. “I’m excited for my future now. I want to try new things,” Osbourne also told the panel.

Osbourne’s ‘Fashion Police’ exit came in the days following the outcry over co-host Giuliana Rancic describing singer Zendaya's dreadlocked Oscar hair as looking like smelt of 'weed' and patchouli oil.

Kelly had originally tried to stay out of the row tweeting, ‘I WILL NOT BE DRAGED INTO THIS! The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. I hope you can leave it to them & do the same!’, when the controversy first erupted.

But the panelist soon became involved, telling her twitter followers “Im giving everyone involved 24 hours to make it right or the world will hear how I really feel, contactually Im not allowed to speak!”

Days later E! announced Kelly’s exit from the show via a statement reading, “Kelly Osbourne is departing E!'s 'Fashion Police' to pursue other opportunities. We would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers.”

A replacement for Osbourne has not yet been announced, however Khloe Kardashian, 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' star NeNe Leakes, Chrissy Teigen, Naya Rivera and Amber Rose are all among the rumoured contenders.
