Kelly Clarkson, and husband Brandon Blackstock, are preparing to welcome a baby girl into the world.

The pop-singer took to twitter to announce the happy news to her 9.3 million followers.

"We just found out we're having a girl officially!" she posted on Monday (Jan 20th). "I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!"

Clarkson has also used the social media site throughout her pregnancy distress's and advised any fellow pregnant ladies what to do to avoid morning sickness.

On January 12th, she posted, "Ladies if you r pregnant & sick as a dog trust me when I say the one thing u will keep down might just be "baked potatoes" #godblesspotatoes."

While appearing on the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' this past December, Clarkson revealed her struggles with adjusting to morning sickness, presumably before discovering potatoes were the answer.

"I vomit a dozen times a day. It's like bad. I vomited before coming out here," she admitted. "It's so bad. It's, like, so gross. You're not attractive when you're pregnant. Everybody tells you [that] you glow and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That's total crap."

The 31 year-old is four months gone now, after announcing her pregnancy (you guessed it) on twitter back in November.

"I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited!" she wrote on November 19th. "Best early Christmas present ever :)"

This will be the first child for the 'Stronger' singer but she is already a step-mother to Blackstock's two children from a previous relationship, after the pair tied the knot back in October (2013).

Congratulations to the happy couple.
