Kelly Brook's boyfriend Danny Cipriani has been released from hospital after being hit by a bus last night (24.04.13).

The rugby star was rushed to hospital after coming into contact with the vehicle at Woodhouse Lane in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, during a boozy night out with his Sale Sharks team mates and is now recovering at home after being treated at Leeds General Infirmary.

Despite being checked for a concussion at the scene, the 25-year-old sportsman has since confirmed he is on the mend and even showed his sense of humour is still intact with a jokey post on Twitter.

He wrote earlier today (25.04.13): ''Thank you for all the well wishes, means a lot. My ribs are a bit sore. Feel like I've been hit by a bus...

''Out of hospital now. Once again, thank you for the messages. (sic)''

Danny's team manager James Williamson has also spoken out about his friend, telling the BBC he is ''quite groggy'' and ''does not remember much about the incident.''

Speaking before Danny's exit from the medical facility, James said: ''At the moment there doesn't seem to have been any serious damage done. We don't how long he will be out for. It looks like he has been a lucky boy.''

Photos have emerged showing the smashed front window of the bus and a shocked eye witness revealed details about the incident shortly after it took place.

User Billee Jade Brack (?@billee_jade) tweeted: ''Some guy's been hit by a bus outside Leeds uni and every bit of the bus front window is smashed to pieces, imagine what the guy looks like. (sic)''

Kelly - who rekindled her romance with her former flame in January following her split from Thom Evans - has yet to speak about her boyfriend's state.
