Singer Keith Urban has postponed his scheduled Sunday (27Jan13) show in Brisbane, Australia due to heavy rain.
The country star was set to headline the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, but fans will have to wait until Monday (28Jan13) for the concert after stormy weather hit the city, resulting in several areas flooding.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, Urban writes, "Tonite's (sic) show in Brissie postponed until tomorrow nite (sic) due to crazy cyclonic chaos... so bummed.!!! stay safe everyone."
A statement from promoter Michael Chugg reads, "Following discussions with the weather bureau and advice that conditions are worsening this afternoon, the decision was taken to postpone until tomorrow when it is predicted the weather will have calmed.
"Keith's priority is his fans and we want everyone to be safe. Whilst we held hope that we could proceed this evening as planned, the weather circumstances have trumped our best intentions."
