Keith Olbermann appeared as a guest on the David Letterman show last night (April 3, 2012), explaining his side of the Current TV dismissal debacle. Olbermann was sacked from Current TV (which was set up by the former presidential candidate Al Gore) amidst claims of unreasonable behaviour. An example of such behavior, leaked by an insider, included the fact that staff at the network had to change his car service eight times in a year.
Letterman began in the interview segment by presenting Keith with an interchangeable 'News Anchor' business card, with a spinning wheel changing the name of the network that he works for at any given time. Luckily, Olbermann took the joke well. "I screwed up," Keith admitted to the talk show host. He went on to make an analogy to describe the faults of the network. "You know, if you buy a $10 million chandelier, you should have a house to put it in." To clarify the analogy, Letterman asked "You're the chandelier.?"
