Boyzone star Keith Duffy is nursing painful knees after cycling almost 200 miles (320 kilometres) through the European Alps for charity last week (ends29May11).
The singer tackled the endurance race in the mountains to raise money for the Irish Autism Action organisation, of which he is a patron.
Duffy successfully completed the cycling challenge, but admitted he suffered for his cause. Speaking during the cycle, he said, "My knees are sore but are holding up so far but my hernia hasn't caused me any bother. But all the pain will be worth it."
Duffy is also competing in an extreme triathlon in Ireland in September (11) to raise money for the charity, which helped him when his daughter Mia, 11, was diagnosed with autism at 16 months old.
