Keith Carradine's Broadway musical Hands On A Hardbody is to close early due to disappointing ticket sales.
The country-rock production received mixed reviews after it opened at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in New York City on 21 March (13), but it will now end on 13 April (13) after just 28 previews and the same number of regular performances.
The show, based on the 1997 documentary by S.R. Bindler, tells the story of working-class Texas locals who enter an endurance contest to win a pick-up truck, with the person who keeps their hands on the Nissan the longest getting to drive it home.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show pulled in a modest $321,000 (£200,600) in its highest grossing week.
