'Roar' hitmaker Katy Perry will hit the road in North America for her Prismatic World Tour this coming June, with her first US date landing in North Carolina.The tour will see Perry performing tunes from her number one fourth album 'Prism'; a huge hit that stayed in the top ten for 9 weeks and featured her singles 'Roar' and 'Dark Horse'.
'The Prismatic World Tour is coming to light up some of my favourite North American cities this summer, as well as some new cities that you introduced me to through your video requests', the singer revealed in a statement. 'This colourful show will bring you all the songs you know as well as ones from my new album, Prism. I'm so excited that I got to hand-select some of my favourite artists to join me on this journey - I know you'll love Capital Cities, Kacey Musgraves and Tegan & Sara as much as I do.'
As well as announcing her opening acts for the four month long tour, details have emerged of a self-designed stage that she will perform on each night, allowing fans intimacy and much more of a visual spectacle. Fans who are members of the official tour's credit card, Citi® card, will be able to buy tickets from January 21st on the Citi Private Pass® Program.
