Katy Perry and Russell Brand are infuriating the press at the moment, desperate as we are to see some sign of animosity between the pair as they continue finalizing of their divorce. Once again it seems that we've been foiled as it seems Perry will be taking back her maiden name as well as all the money, with Brand previously being reported as turning down his share of cash the pair had between them - thought to be some $20 million.
Tmz have been keeping abreast of the developments and after obtaining documents surrounding the split have been reporting what appears to be one of the most amicable high profile break ups ever. With Perry earning $44 million between May 2010 and 2011 and the pair not signing a pre-nuptial before getting married 15 months ago the British comedian was looking quids in, but he elected to walk away with nothing. Now, it's been revealed that Perry checked the box "Respondent's [Katy's] former name be restored to," and going on to specify her full name ... Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson."
It's also been widely reported that Perry signed the settlements with a smiley face - something we all clung on to desperately as reason that she was relieved to be free of her marriage - it's tenuous at best but it's hardly animosity. As a source told Tmz "This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person)."
