Katy Perry is now the owner of a record label.

The 29 year-old songstress announced on Tuesday (June 17th), as well as launching Metamorphosis Music, she has already signed her very first artist.

Perry's new label is a joint venture with her current label, Capitol Records.

"I am so ECSTATIC to finally announce my NEW label Metamorphosis Music," she tweeted. "& my first signing, the incredibly talented & soulful FERRAS!"

Shortly after sharing this exciting news, the Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter couldn't help but express his joy over being signed to the label.

"The secret is out! I've signed to my dear friend @katyperry's new record label Metamorphosis Music. Today is the day that my EP is finally out and I'm so happy I now get to share it," he wrote on Instagram.

Adding, "Let me know what u think!!! Also, catch me opening up for Katy on #ThePrismaticWorldTour starting June 22!"

Ferras also took to Twitter to show appreciation for all the congratulatory messages he has received, posting, "Thanks so much everyone for all your amazing comments and well-wishes! I'm so excited to see u on the #prismaticworldtour in 5 days!"

The singer released his self-titled EP on Tuesday that includes the lead single' Legends Never Die,' which features Perry.

"Ferras is a man with a message, and a unique lyrical way of communicating his perspective on life that makes you feel connected to every note when you listen," Perry said in a press release announcing the signing. "I believe he is going to be an important artist to watch unfold."

Any intrigued fans can see Ferres as the opening act on the 'Fireworks' singer's North American leg of her Prismatic World Tour, which starts on June 22nd in Raleigh, North Carolina, and finishes on October 11th in Houston.
