In the upcoming Katy Perry biopic, Katy Perry: Part of Me, there are no shortage of mentions to her 14-month marriage and eventual split with comic Russell Brand, however Brand himself is scarcely seen at all.

Katy, who admitted to cringing when she watched the film, has told The Sun; "I didn't want it to be a film about all of my great success, that's so boring and awful." It has been revealed that the documentary will focus on the time around her marriage and split, as well as looking into aspects of touring and album work from the same period.

When quizzed on why Brand makes so few appearances himself in the film, she replied by saying that she does like to "get too detailed about the specifics" as she believes "that's only supposed to be between the two people that are in it."

The much-anticipated look into the 'Teenage Dream' singer's biopic will hit cinemas on July 5th worldwide.

In the meantime, Perry has seen her name around the top of the list of performers rumoured to be performing in the 'Special Guest' slot at today's Radio One Hackney Weekend, with Kanye West, Cheryl Cole or possibly Coldplay also in the mix.
