Katy Perry is reportedly ignoring John Mayer and refuses to respond to his texts or calls as she is focusing on herself.
Katy Perry is reportedly ignoring John Mayer.
The 'Dark Horse' singer, who split from the singer-songwriter, 36, in February, refuses to respond to his texts or calls, and has no interest in a rebound romance.
A source close to the 29-year-old star told PEOPLE.com: ''Katy will not let romance derail her life right now. She is happy being single. I don't see her getting into another relationship for a very long time. Why would she? She has a fantastic career, a ton of friends and is generally happy with things. She thinks that a relationship will complicate things right now.
''Katy has always been a romantic, but she knows that it doesn't all have to happen immediately. She doesn't need to have the prince on the white horse now. She'll wait, and take care of herself in the meantime.''
The 'Roar' hitmaker dyed her hair slime green earlier this week and feels extremely confident following the makeover.
The insider said: ''She finally decided, 'f**k it. I'm going to do what I want to do and I don't care what people think. Her hair is an outward statement of her freedom.''
Katy is set to kick off her 'Prismatic' world tour on May 8 and is pouring all of her energy into preparing for the shows.
The friend explained: ''She's looking for something show-stopping [for her tour]. Something that will grab the attention of everyone. She can't focus on that if she's dating someone. Right now, she needs to have a one-track mind, and it can't be about a boyfriend.''
