Katy Perry covered "N*ggas in Paris" during her performance for Bbc Radio 1's Live Lounge on Monday (March 19, 2012). The pop superstar blasted through her take of the Jay Z and Kanye West song, but made some subtle changed to the lyrics and censored herself numerous times, reports Billboard.
Pulling her New York Yankees cap low, Perry opted to stay away from the explicit lyrics, although told the crowd, "This is about to get Real embarrassing" before singing the line, "Ball so hard mother*cker as wanna fine me". Though her cover was the obvious highlight of the Radio 1 taping, Perry also performed a handful of her own tracks, including 'Part of Me', the lead single from her re-issue of Teenage Dream. The single dropped to No.10 on last week's Hot 100 chart, after debuting at No.1. Talking to radio Dj Chris Moyles about her trip to England, Perry said, "I bring my friends with me everywhere. That's my favourite luxury to have. They are so solid and centred and don't give a crap about the hubbub that goes on".
