Funnyman Katt Williams was quizzed by police on Wednesday (17Oct12) on suspicion of a gun violation.
The comedian faced questioning after Los Angeles Police Department officers received a call about someone brandishing a weapon at the Supper Club in Hollywood.
According to Tmz.com, a witness is said to have identified Williams as the suspect when authorities arrived at the scene in the early hours of the morning.
Cops spoke to Williams and two members of his entourage after allegedly finding a gun in his car, and the star was subsequently released without charge.
One of Williams' associates was booked on an unrelated traffic warrant.
