Katie Waissel, the British singer and controversial contestant on last year's X-Factor, has revealed her dramatic new look. In a shoot for Heat Magazine, Katie dons a Madonna-esque suit while showing off her Lady GaGa style blonde wig.
In the accompanying interview, the singer-songwriter discusses her fashion sense - something that divided voters during her time on The X-Factor. Asked whether she would ever change her look for a man, Waissel revealed, "I have, dammit. When I was about 22 I started going out with this proper suit. I absolutely loved Sex In The City and started trying to dress like Carrie Bradshaw to impress him.I looked like that for about two years. Now I can't see pictures without cringing". Following a commendable run to week 8 of 'The X Factor', Waissel was eventually eliminated after performing Kings Of Leon's 'Sex on Fire' and 'Everybody Hurts' by REM. Despite the public's disapproval with her heavier sound, Katie has formed rock band 'Red Velvet Lovers', saying, "We're in the studio at the moment working on an album with a producer who's worked with Lady Gaga and Kesha".
The singer previously performed under the name Katie Vogel, and once had a recording contract as 'Lola Fontaine'.
