The English singer had married comedian Brian Moote in October 2015.
Former ‘X Factor’ contestant Katie Waissel has split up with her second husband, after just a year of marriage, and has pulled out of a scheduled appearance in a pantomime, it has been reported.
The 30 year old English singer was pictured out and about in New York City without her wedding ring while walking her dog on Monday (December 12th). It is for this reason that she recently cancelled an appearance in ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ in Northwich in Cheshire.
A source close to Waissel told The Sun this week: “Katie and Brian have split, and she is simply too upset to handle the gruelling regime of a pantomime.”

She had tied the knot with comedian Brian Moote in October 2015, having dated for a year beforehand, and as recently as a few months ago she described him as ‘the one’ in an interview.
“It was like that age-old saying: 'When you know, you know'” she told OK! Magazine. “I’ve been married before so I was in no rush to get into anything else, but we’re best friends. It didn’t seem fast for me.”
However, she’s now flown back to America with her pet dog, Norman, in order to recover and build her life over again, according to the report.
"Christmas will be tough on her own, but having to put on a brave face in front of a full house every night would have been tougher. She’s devastated things with Brian haven’t worked out,” the source continued.
Waissel, who appeared on British TV screens earlier this summer as a contestant in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house, had previously been married to male model Brad Alphonso in September 2012, but that marriage dissolved after a little over two months. She had first found fame back in 2010 when she finished seventh in ‘The X Factor’.
