Katie Price has shared her heartbreak and devastation after one of her pet horses was killed when it was hit by a car, having escaped from its field.

The 39 year old former supermodel, and renowned fan of all things horsey, took to Instagram to share a picture of the smashed up vehicle – the driver of which escaped unharmed – after the accident on Monday night (November 20th) on the A24 in West Sussex.

“Last night our friends horses including one of ours escaped from their field and ran onto the Road we are devastated,” Katie captioned the snap. “We are extremely upset to find out one of our horses was killed last night being hit by a car...”

It’s yet another ordeal for the ‘Loose Women’ star, who has been hit with the news that her mother Amy has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, on top of the constant rumours of the infidelity of her husband Kieran Hayler.

“We are in shock still and reminds me again of the time in Argentina when I was involved in a horrific car accident when the car I was in killed two horses that died in my arms,” her dejected post finished.

This was a reference to the incident, back in 2011, when Price and her then-boyfriend Leandro Penna were driving a 4x4 in the South American country when it struck two horses that had escaped into the highway.
