Katie Holmes wants to focus on her rebuilding her career instead of her love life.
The 34-year-old actress, who split from Tom Cruise in June 2012 after six years of marriage, is reportedly struggling to find attractive film roles and is still adjusting to being a single mother to their daughter Suri Cruise, seven.
A friend close to the former 'Dawson's Creek' star revealed that Katie is very frustrated by the lack of bigger roles she is being offered and is still extremely disappointed about her second Broadway play 'Dead Accounts' being forced to cut short its run due to poor ticket sales.
The friend added: ''It's been hard for her to find a job. She hasn't worked much, and it's not by choice.''
Although Katie is still finding her feet, a producer who worked with the brunette beauty insisted that she is happy.
The insider told People.com: ''She had the courage to leave and take control of her life. Things have been tough for her, but she's happy. She's moving on.''
The actress has enjoyed several dinner dates with her 'Mania Days' co-star Luke Kirby recently but isn't looking for a serious relationship.
The source said: ''They spend lots of time together. Luke thinks Katie is terrific,'' but added: ''She's lying low on the romantic side of things. She doesn't need that right now. Her focus is on Suri. I don't think she's ready.''
The actress, who lives in New York and has sole custody of Suri, has been ''flustered a lot'' recently, according to one of her neighbours, who said: ''You can see the struggle in her face. Suri is quite a handful.''
