Katie Holmes is the latest celebrity in talks to join the cast of hit TV musical GLEE, according to online reports.
The former Dawson's Creek star is reportedly negotiating a deal with Fox network bosses to feature in a five-part guest spot during Glee's upcoming second season.
The National Enquirer reports Holmes has already hired a private singing coach to help her prepare for the role.
A source says: "Katie is finalising a deal to join the cast for a limited story line next season."
Previous episodes of the hit U.S. series have featured cameos by Olivia Newton-John, rapper Eve, Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth and comedienne Molly Shannon.
