Katie Holmes had a surprise in store when she taped an appearance on U.S. cable show 106 + PARK with MAD MONEY co-star QUEEN LAFIFAH recently - she officially handed the Chicago star her Golden Globe. Latifah, real name Dana Owens, was named the Best Actress in a TV Movie or Mini-Series for her performance in Life Support at the Globes last Sunday (13Oct08), but couldn't claim her prize. Due to the ongoing Hollywood writers strike, the Globes ceremony was cancelled and instead winners were announced during a star-free press conference. But Batman Begins star Holmes made sure her pal got the golden treatment while the two were promoting their new film on the BET network show. Standing at a makeshift podium, Holmes said, "I'm here to present the Best Actress in A Mini-Series to Miss Queen Latifah." She then broke into a fit of giggles as a thrilled Latifah stepped up to claim the prize. The special presentation will appear on Friday night's (18Jan08) 106 + Park broadcast.
