Katherine Jenkins came joint top of the leaderboard on last night's (16.04.12) 'Dancing With The Stars'.

The Welsh opera singer and her partner Mark Ballas scored an impressive 29 out of 30 for their Argentine tango, while William Levy and Cheryl Burke earned the same marks for the same dance.

Judge Bruno Tonioli told Katherine: ''It was the perfect pitch on the acting and the storytelling.''

Fellow judge Carrie Ann Inaba added: ''You have the best legs I've ever seen from any contestant.''

As for William's routine, Len Goodman told the actor and his professional partner: ''I saw mood, I saw sensuality and passion.''

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough performed one of the night's sexiest routines, sealing their salsa with a controversial kiss, which didn't go down to well.

Carrie Ann said: ''That was hot, but I don't think you needed the kiss. Dance is about the illusion of passion.''

Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd had another great night, earning 27 points for a powerful Argentine tango, while Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower recovered from being in the bottom two last week to earn 26 points for their salsa.

Jaleel White and Kym Johnson opened the Latin night with a 24-point samba, while Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus scored 22 for the same dance.

Melissa Gilbert recovered from last week's head injury to earn 21 points for her salsa with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, while Gavin Degraw and Karina Smirnoff scored just 19 for their samba.

Results will be revealed tonight (17.04.12).
