Opera singer Katherine Jenkins has rejoined the record label that launched her career.

The Welsh star signed for the Universal Music Group in 2004 but moved to Warner Music for a reported fee of $8.7 million (£5.8 million) in 2009.

She left when that deal ended earlier this year (13) and now it has emerged she has returned to her musical alma mater by signing for Universal subsidiary Decca.

Mezzo-soprano Jenkins will join other classical artists at the label, including Andre Rieu and Andrea Bocelli.
