Celebrity couple Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley went to extraordinary lengths to keep their latest adoption a secret by sitting rows apart from their new daughter on a flight home.
Actress Heigl and her singer husband confirmed last month (Apr12) they had taken in a newborn baby girl, named Adalaide, as a sister for their other adopted daughter, Naleigh.
They've now told how Adalaide was born in an unidentified city in the U.S. earlier this year (12), and the couple was determined to keep the baby news secret after flying to the location to collect her.
Knocked Up actress Heigl tells U.K. magazine Hello!, "It wasn't easy because we had to physically go get her and bring her back on a commercial flight. And we were excited to share the news with our friends and family.
"The best thing we did to keep suspicion at a minimum was to fly our nanny with us so she could hold Adalaide on the way back a few rows behind us. Also, when we got home we just never left the house. I sewed every day and Josh wrote her a song."
