Kate Winslet has become the new favourite to play superspy DAISY SCARLETT in a new movie after original choice Naomi Watts considers a Bond girl role.

The producers of DAISY SCARLETT: SEMPER OCCULTUS fear Watts won't be able to play their spy as well as James Bond's lady love in new movie Casino Royale, so they're considering replacing her, according to movie news website moviehole.net.

According to the site, SPECIES star Natasha Henstridge is also on the shortlist to play the female 007.

Daisy Scarlett producer BEN TREBILCOOK says, "We're seeking female acting talent who haven't done this kinda thing before. Obviously a superb actress who could do this standing on their head, but would be ace in terms of fending off the baddies."

The movie, about an agent who has to find out who is behind the thefts of human organs, will film in lavish locations like South Africa, Paris, London and Morocco. It co-stars Hugo Speer and martial arts expert Donnie Yen.
