Kate Winslet says scenes in her new movie 'Carnage' when she had to vomit uncontrollably were ''unforgettable'' to film.
Kate Winslet had an "unforgettable" day of projectile vomiting for her new film 'Carnage'.
The British actress plays a middle class woman who - after too much homemade pie and whisky at a friend's house - ends up being sick all over a collection of precious art books, and while the scenes were gruesome, Kate saw the funny side.
She said: "Ah, yes, the vomit scene. Now that really was an unforgettable day. Actually, it was only the second time that I've had to throw up on screen.
"But with this I had to contain a lot of vomit in my mouth, which is not possible. Without going into too much detail, it was a very complex rig and there was some extremely clever CGI involved.
"I went home and it was between the cracks of my fingers, in my hair, just everywhere. When we shot that scene we were all absolutely beside ourselves with laughter."
The scene also left a lasting impression on Kate's Children - Mia, 11, from her marriage to Jim Threapleton and Joe, seven, from her second marriage to Sam Mendes - who were fascinated when she shot the scenes.
She added in an interview with Empire magazine: "My kids came to work for that day, the vomit day, and they literally haven't stopped talking about it since."
'Carnage', directed by Roman Polanski, will be released early in 2012.
