Kate Upton has been getting a lot of flack from critics in the fashion industry for her distinctive look, but industry bible Vogue isn’t afraid to brand her the hottest supermodel on Earth. And looking at Miss Upton’s cover for the magazine’s June issue, you can definitely see where they’re coming from. In the shoot with acclaimed fashion photographer Mario Testino, Kate shows off a figure that looks more toned and athletic than ever, a look that features giant teased hair and statement eyebrows, but most importantly, she shows the attitude that has helped her survive the dangers of the industry up until now.

It’s no secret that Upton has been criticised for... having a human body. Of course, as human specimens go, she is probably the best you can hope for. Nevertheless that hasn’t stopped a number of thinspo (thinspiration) blogs and stylists from criticizing her. Last year, a Victoria’s Secret stylist referred to Upton’s look as “like a footballer's wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”

But Upton hasn’t let all of this bother her, as she shared for Vogue: “The things that they’re rejecting are things that I can’t change. I can’t change my bra size. They’re natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can’t change some things. I really just live my life. I love my body. It’s what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great.” Kate Upton, ladies and gentlemen – humanizing the world of fashion since 2011.
