Supermodel Kate Moss has hired an artist to paint a picture of her alongside her hero, the late Elvis Presley.

The British 30-year-old recently asked rock portrait specialist PAUL KARSLAKE - the brother-in-law of ROLLING STONE RONNIE WOOD - to take care of the painting.

Moss is a huge fan of Presley, who died 27 years ago on Monday (16AUG04).

A friend says, "He agreed and suggested he paint Kate and Elvis together. He is already working on a picture of her in a classic 1950s dress with Elvis holding her in his arms.

"She's looking out from the picture and he's looking at her in his trademark crooning pose.

"It will be an amazing oil painting."

Karslake is best known for painting Rolling Stone wildman Keith Richards as a pirate, a work that became the inspiration for hit movie PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL.
