Royal Wedding bride Kate Middleton has chosen the British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding to perform at the official reception tomorrow (29th April 2011), according to the UK's Sun newspaper. 300 friends and family are set to attend the official Royal Wedding evening party and the 24-year-old has been handed the task of entertaining the exclusive guests.
Recent speculation had suggested that Elton John would be performing at the reception, given his close ties with the Royal family, but Goulding is the choice of Middleton and Prince William. A source said, "Wills and Kate are huge fans of Ellie and were keen to sign her up. Her music goes down well with the young ones, plus a few of the older guests will be nodding their heads along", adding, "They really wanted a top British talent and the couple are delighted Ellie agreed to perform. She can't wait - although she's a tad nervous". Goulding's boyfriend, the Radio 1 DJ GREG JAMES, has also been invited to the reception and will "be by her side all day". The singer-songwriter is expecting to perform her cover of Elton John's hit track 'Your Song', which debuted at number-two on the UK chart in December 2010.
Goulding can expect to be performing to Royal Wedding attendees such as the filmmaker Guy Ritchie, David Beckham, his wife Victoria Beckham and the singer JOSS STONE.
