Kate Middleton's baby has got Prince Charles excited
Kate Middleton has been at the centre of a lot of negative stories during her pregnancy; the topless photo scandal, that prank call while she was in hospital, so it’s nice to hear of Prince Charles' excitement at becoming a grandfather.
"It's a lovely thought and I look forward enormously to that relationship," said Prince Charles, who’s also wary about the world that the royal sprog will grow up in. "We need to think about the future, we need to think what kind of world we're handing on to our successors," Charles explained on a special, 25th anniversary edition of Countryfile, which he is guest editing. "If you think of it in those terms it should make us reflect on the way we do things so we don't ruin it for them." He went on to warn: "That's why it's so important to work in harmony with nature rather than thinking we can somehow ignore, dominate, separate ourselves from nature, because unless we pay our respect to nature, she's a great deal more powerful than we are."
Today, March 5th, Kate is in Grimsby to visit some unemployed teens being helped by the Prince's Trust charity. It’s quite a contrast from her recent break in the Swiss alps, where the air is clear and crisp. The weather in Grimsby today is decidedly foggy, which has delayed the pregnant duchess.
