Kate Middleton stopped by the Shooting Stars Children's Hospice in Hampton, Middlesex on Friday, 6 December, to spread a little holiday cheer to the young patients and their families. The Duchess of Cambridge visited the hospice to learn more about the work carried out by the doctors, nurses and other workers at the facility, finding time to meet with as many of the patients and their families as she could.

The Duchess paid the hospice a 80-minute visit and joined in on a number of activities taking place during her stop. Among them, she joined in with a music class, an art therapy session and even played the part of the Frog Prince in a puppet-enacted version of The Princess and the Frog. As reported by The Mirror, Kate wore a smile throughout her visit as she entertained and handed out gifts to some of the patients in the hospice.

Rocking fashion straight from the high-street, wearing a grey jacket from Reiss and tight and a pair of dark blue jeans, she completed her winter chic outfit with a pair of black Russell and Bromley ankle boots, so expect to see all these items in high demand on your next shopping trip.

Kate is already a patron of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, being made a patron upon her marriage to Prince William, and her visit across the country to Middlesex is part of her continuing mission to extend her patronage to as many children's hospices around the country.

“She was down to earth but had a real aura about her," mum Louise Wilks told the paper in regards to Kate's visit. “She asked me about my boys and how we use Shooting Star Chase and I told her how they like messy play. She said she has just introduced George to messy play and what fun it was.”
