BILL HUDSON, father of Hollywood star Kate Hudson is due to release his book which lifts the lid on the on his life with Kate's mother Goldie Hawn.

The book, which is called '2 Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family' details what life was like living in the spotlight. "Life in the spotlight is not without its consequences, and the Hudson family was no exception. " Bill's official website explains "Bill found himself in the middle of the controversial issue of parental alienation. His rights as a father to see his children were often played out in the media because Oliver and Kate became actors themselves." BILL HUDSON first met Goldie Hawn as a member of musical group The Hudson Brothers they later married in 1976 and had two children together, Kate and Oliver. However, they were divorced in 1980 and the children were raised by actor and Hawn's new partner, Kurt Russell and the new book now tells the story of their marriage. "After their divorce, Bill found himself in the middle of the controversial issue of parental alienation. Kate Hudson was born in Los Angeles and rose to prominence with her appearance in 2000 movie Almost Famous. She later went onto appear in several romantic comedies including How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Fool's Gold as well as You, Me and Dupree. She is married to Matthew Bellamy, lead singer of British band MUSE.
