Kate Hudson recently took the time to clarify an ongoing rumour about her current weight. Although the actress does have a very slim build, she adamantly denies ever suffering from an eating disorder and is actually quite confident with her current body figure.

Hudson put this story straight in an interview with the U.K.'S Red magazine, which she looks beautiful on the front cover of in a black and gold dress, and also expressed her desire to become a positive role model for young women.

"If there is one thing I will never have, it is an eating disorder," the 'Something Borrowed' actress told the mag. "I won't have girls - even if it is just one or two who care - thinking that. Because it is a serious sickness, not something to plaster on the cover of a magazine. And I am the opposite."


Hudson also opened up about gaining 70 pounds during her first pregnancy and stressed how important it is for a woman to "feel good" about themselves.

"I want girls to love themselves. I want them to feel good about who they are...The thing is, I'm lucky because I was loved," she said. "But I have seen so many young women who can't feel good about themselves because they just don't have.that love."

The 35 year-old actress told the women's magazine that for the foreseeable future she is having to postpone planning her wedding with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, whom she has been engaged to since 2011.


"I'm not in a rush. We are basically married. It's really about when are we going to take the time to plan a wedding," she admitted, and also explained she doesn't eaer her engagement ring all the time due to the sheer size of it. "[I'm not wearing my engagement ring] because it can be...a little much. I like to wear my push gift [another ring] for pushing out Bing."
