Kate Bosworth has confirmed that she is engaged to marry director boyfriend Michael Polish. The 'Straw Dogs' actress first hinted at a proposal during a travel blog for Vogue magazine, though confirmed the engagement on Twitter this week.
Tweeting on Tuesday (September 2012), the actress told followers, "This photo was taken by my husband-to-be.Thank you for all the wonderful engagement wishes. ... We feel truly blessed". In the photograph, Bosworth, 29, poses with her hand in her mouth, showing off a rather large piece of jewellery. Kate Bosworth's engagement ring appears to be a square stone encrusted with diamonds. The couple were first spotted together at a Coldplay gig in Los Angeles last summer, though Polish, 41, directed his wife-to-be in the upcoming movie Big Sur, about Jack Kerouac's three brief trips to a cabin on the Northern Californian coast. The actress was previously in a relationship with actor Orlando Bloom for three years, before splitting in 2005. She then dated Alexander Skarsgard for around two years, before splitting in July 2011, hooking up with Polish a couple of months later.
Michael is one half of the Polish brothers directing team. The twins are perhaps best known for 'Jackpot', their 2001 movie starring Daryl Hannah, and 2003's 'Northfolk' starring James Woods and NICK NOLTE.
