Kate Bosworth is ready to have children.
The 31-year-old actress thinks raising a child with husband Michael Polish will be ''tough'' but she and the filmmaker - who she wed last August after a year-long romance - have already discussed how best to approach parenthood.
She told the new issue of Britain's InStyle magazine: ''I know that it's going to be tough, but Michael and I will find humour in it.
''We're already convinced that our kids will do things that are hilarious.''
And the 'Big Sur' actress says her ''maternal instincts'' kicked in when she first started spending time with 16-year-old Jasper, her spouse's daughter from a previous relationship.
She added: ''After ordering pizza for the third time when she first started coming over, I knew I had to learn how to cook because I wanted to nurture her. These maternal instincts kicked in.''
Meanwhile, Kate insists she never follows trends and will only wear clothes she feels comfortable in.
She said: ''Early on, I learned not to let someone convince me to wear something - even the coolest or trendiest thing - if I don't feel it.''
