Kim Kardashian shared on Instagram how she spent her Valentine's Day morning. The 34-year-old reality star shared a collection of goodies, including nail polish and 'sole mate' socks, which she claimed were her 'Valentine's Day essentials'. Yet Kardashian's husband, Kanye West, was missing from the festivities. This year is the first Valentine's Day for the couple since their marriage in May 2014, so where was the 38-year-old rapper?

West was spending the morning presenting gifts to some of his fans in New York. West has paired up with Adidas to create some new trainers, called 'Yeezy Boost', and surprised two customers at the New York Adidas store by presenting them in person. The shoes are not on general sale until 28th February so the two customers may not have even voluntarily chosen the shoes. One certainly seemed enthusiastic, smiling almost as broadly as West but the other appeared to be engrossed in his phone. 

Kardashian was certainly impressed with her husband's generosity and shared the moment on Instagram. "My valentine went to Adidas this morning to surprise a few fans with new pairs of #yeezyboost! One of the many reasons why I love him," Kardashian wrote.

The couple have spent the past few days together appearing, alongside their daughter North West, at New York Fashion Week.  West's fashion show, showcasing his new collection, has received a mixed reception. The most controversial piece is the nude body suit, which his wife wore to the event. Yet it wasn't really the clothes which commentators have focussed on but the famous faces that had turned out to support West. Joining Kardashian and a rather stroppy baby North were such celebrities as Anna Wintour, Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
