Rapper Kanye West turned down a $4.5 million (£2.8 million) deal to stage a three-week residency in Las Vegas, according to a U.S. report.
The hip-hop star was offered the lucrative package to perform nine shows over three weeks at the Planet Hollywood resort in Sin City. The deal would have netted West around $500,000 (£312,500) per concert, but the Stronger hitmaker rejected the offer, according to Tmz.com.
Editors of the website state West's pay cheque would have dwarfed the salaries of Las Vegas' other resident stars including Britney Spears and Celine Dion.
The news comes just days after reports suggested singer/actress Jennifer Lopez is set to become the newest member of the Las Vegas Strip with a residency at Planet Hollywood.
