The interview on the 'Today Show' that Kanye West ranted about on his Twitter page has surfaced on the Internet this morning (11th November 2010) The 33-year-old rapper was speaking to host Matt Lauer when he became irritated and began ranting at the show's production team, and at Lauer himself.
Kanye was shown the clip of George W Bush calling remarks West made about him 'disgusting'. The rapper had accused the former President of 'not caring about black people' in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and last week Mr Bush called the moment the lowest point of his time in office. However, when West was shown the video, he said, "I didn't need you guys to show me the tape in order to prompt my emotions. Y'all don't have to do the TV stuff with me, this is reality.. I don't need all the jazz", before asking someone off-camera to "be quiet for a second".
West became even more agitated when asked about the Taylor Swift 'incident'. "Yo, how am I supposed to talk if you're going to run this thing in the middle of while I'm talking", he fumed, as a video of the infamous moment at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards ran on a television screen, adding, "I'm hearing it while I'm trying to talk. Please don't let that happen again. It's like ridiculous." The rapper is due to return to the show on November 26th 2010 for a live concert.
