Kanye West has been hit with a lawsuit for allegedly assaulting photographer Daniel Ramos in Los Angeles on July 19.
Kanye West is being sued for allegedly attacking a photographer.
Daniel Ramos filed court papers on Wednesday (21.08.13), claiming he was punched and wrestled to the ground by the 'Black Skinhead' rapper after trying to take photos of him at Los Angeles International Airport on July 19.
According to E! News, Ramos spoke to reporters at a press conference about the lawsuit on Wednesday.
He said: ''[I was] just trying to do my job I am speaking out today because I don't want what happened to me to ever happen to anyone else.''
TMZ reports the lawsuit alleges the 36-year-old rapper ''suddenly attacked'', ''without warning or provocation'', after the photographer asked if he could talk to him.
Ramos - who has hired celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred to represent his case - maintains he was one of many cameramen who took pictures of the star when the incident occurred.
It's claimed Ramos needed crutches for two weeks after the attack and still uses a cane to walk due to persisting pain.
Kanye now faces claims of assault, battery and negligence by the photographer who says the unprovoked attack was a violation of his civil rights.
