It seems having a million camera lights flashing in his face and videos rolling about every aspect of his life has finally got into Kanye West’s head. The superstar singer was seen by an eye witness being rushed into Melbourne’s Epworth Hospital for an emergency MRI scan after reportedly suffering from a severe migraine just hours before his final show in Melbourne.

According to Woman’s Day, a lady called Lorraine Terry was at the hospital with her daughter, who was due to have her own MRI, when a collection of nurses were forced to ask regular patients to move out of the waiting room and treatment areas. Mrs Terry and her daughter could not leave as her daughter’s MRI had begun but had not yet completed.

When the hospital was clear, the rapper and his entourage burst in surrounded by security and with half of his face covered. Mrs Terry believes that the doctors were concerned that the artist may have suffered a seizure or was about to.

"Everyone was massively panicked," Mrs Terry said. "And they were very nervous about making sure the area was completely clear."

While the cause of his illness remains unknown, fans of the Yeezus hitster can take refuge in the fact that it seems his wife, Kim Kardashian West, was not by his side and that he later performed to a packed crowd at Rod Laver Arena as originally scheduled.

"At one stage," Mrs Terry continued, "one of [Kanye’s] security men saw my daughter, who was lying on the MRI machine, turn her head and he insisted she had to go. We weren’t even properly finished."

Despite the seeming panic by hospital staff as they cleared the area of patients already waiting, Epworth Hospital spokeswoman, Colleen Coghlan, said: "Yesterday afternoon we had 50 people in our emergency department. All were treated with respect and according to the severity of their symptoms."

Kanye West’s label has made no comment about the condition of his health but has confirmed that he will continue to perform at all shows as scheduled.
