Kanye West has rejected a Las Vegas residency which would have seen the rapper become the strip's highest paid entertainer ever, bagging a cool $4.5 million for nine shows.
Kanye West has rejected a multi-million dollar Las Vegas residency.
The 'Bound 2' rapper had been offered a $500,000-per-show deal by The Axis at Planet Hollywood, which would have seen the father-of-one bag a cool $4.5 million for the nine shows.
Gossip website TMZ reports that the 37-year-old musician - who wed his partner Kim Kardashian West in May - was asked to perform three shows each week for three weeks, but shunned the generous offer for unknown reasons.
The huge sum would have put Kanye in front of Celine Dion as the highest-earning entertainer in Las Vegas, beating her record rate of $476,000 per appearance, also putting himself in front of Britney Spears, who has a long-term residency in the iconic city for an estimated rate of $310,000 for each show.
The news comes just days after the 'Stronger' rapper performed in Las Vegas for the Life is Beautiful festival, and was joined by his wife in the city on Friday (24.10.14) to hold a birthday bash with her family.
Kim turned 34 last week (21.10.14) and celebrated the special occasion in TAO nightclub with her husband along with her friends and family, including mother Kris Jenner and sister Khloe Kardashian.
