West didn’t receive the best endorsement from the former president.
Kanye West might be serious about his 2020 presidential run, but former president George W. Bush thinks it’s one big joke. The rapper announced his intentions to run for office last month at the MTV VMA awards and since then many other celebs have weighed in on West’s chances. But one person who seems to think we’ll never see Yeezus even stand for election is former president George W. Bush.
Kanye West didn’t receive the best endorsement from former president George W. Bush.
When leaving a restaurant in Hollywood earlier this week, the former president was asked by TMZ photographers what he thought about West’s possible presidential run in 2020. But Bush had no words when it came to the thought of the rapper running for office and simply laughed at the question.

The amusing mash-up emerged on Bandcamp on Tuesday, and quickly went viral.
As everybody knows, mash-up albums are so 2005, right? Well, they might enjoy a little revival with the online release of Yeezer, the work of a university student who has spent three years cross-breeding a selection of Kanye West’s hits with tracks by pop-punk veterans Weezer.
19 year old Alex Hodowance from Ohio spent three years, on and off, working on the 34 minute collection of mash-ups, ranging from the bizarre to the highly entertaining. It was uploaded to Bandcamp on Tuesday (October 6th), and quickly gained attention on Reddit before going viral.

Oh no! Looks like we'll have to wait another 12 months to find out what exactly Kanye's been working on all this time.
During a new interview about his recent Yeezy Season 2 fashion collection, Kanye West has dropped a little update about his new album Swish – and it doesn’t make good reading for fans.
The rapper admitted that, although he debuted a new song, ‘Fade’, from his seventh album at New York Fashion Week, the record itself may still be about a year from completion. “That song I played has been a year and a half in the making and it may be still a year from being complete,” he told Vanity Fair. “But it was to let people get a glimpse at the painting.”
Pressed a little more about the subject, the 38 year old said: “I’m not worried about the years. I’m worried about the life and the body of work that I can put out while I’m breathing.”

Kanye West, the rapper turned designer turned presidential hopeful, appears to have accepted criticism comes with his high-profile role. As such, he isn’t remotely interested in what his haters have to say about his recently premiered Yeezy season 2 collection.
Kanye West “doesn’t care” about the criticism his Yeezy season two fashion line faces. The second season of West’s designs premiered at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday (16th September) and it certainly provoked mixed reactions on social media. According to a source, West isn’t upset by those who only had negative things to say about his designs.

Anne Bowen, a luxury brand designer hoping to launch a streetwear collection called “NVII Nomad VII by Anne Bowen’, has reportedly been left with no choice but to move her show back by one day to Thursday September 17th, after Yeezy’s announcement this weekend that he’d be previewing his second season of ‘Kanye West X Adidas’ on Wednesday at noon.

Chelsea Clinton is all for Kanye West running for President but she’s not certain if she’d vote for him – at least not until she sees his competition.
Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Democrat nominee hopeful Hillary Clinton, revealed she thinks Kanye West’s decision to run for President in 2020 is “awesome”. Clinton’s enthusiasm isn’t necessarily with West’s policies but with his ability to inspire young people to get involved in politics.

The follow-up to 'Yeezus' has been over two years in the making, and one fan decided to ask President Obama to use his executive powers to force Kanye to release it.

Kanye hasn’t released a single in over five months, since he dropped a taster for his upcoming seventh album Swish called ‘All Day’ back on March 2nd, and the wait proved to be too much for one fan who started a petition on the White House’s ‘We The People’ website on Wednesday (August 12th) which quickly gained the requisite amount of signatures within a day to force the President to respond to it.

In case anyone was left unaware, Kanye West has got a pretty good deal going for himself. Husband to a always well-dressed woman, father to an equally always well-dressed (and very cute) daughter with a pretty impressive music career and a sense of style all of his own - he’s got a good life.

Noel was surprised by how much he enjoyed the first half an hour of Kanye's Glastonbury set.
One of the most forthright men in the music industry gave his opinion on another in a new interview – and the result was rather surprising. Despite not being a hip-hop aficionado, Noel Gallagher has given his reaction to Kanye West’s much-discussed Glastonbury headline set, describing his performance as “f***ing amazing” – for about half an hour.
The former Oasis songwriter memorably looked a bit silly back in 2008 when he dismissed Jay-Z’s booking – the first ever hip-hop headliner at Glastonbury – only for the rapper to put in a blinding performance. Now, while Kanye has proved rather more divisive, Gallagher admits that he was initially impressed, though he eventually lost interest through not being a fan of the genre.

The unexpected interloper on Kanye's Glastonbury stage has taken to social media to explain his actions - he did it for Taylor Swift!
The stage invader who interrupted Kanye West’s headline set at Glastonbury at the weekend has finally broken his silence. As you probably already know, the perpetrator was English comedian Simon Brodkin, masquerading as his on-stage persona Lee Nelson.
Brodkin, who has wrote and performed in the comedy series ‘Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show for two seasons on BBC Three from 2010 to 2011, took to Twitter to post a picture of himself wearing a self-made ‘Lee-zus’ T-shirt and holding a fake microphone, standing next to a slightly perturbed Kanye during ‘Black Skinhead’.
This all went on for fewer than 10 seconds, before Brodkin was quickly intercepted by a security guard and dragged from the stage. While Kanye took it in his stride, he was distracted enough to quickly re-start the song before moving on.

One audience member’s cry for attention during Kanye’s Glasto performance has been condemned by fans as misogynistic and disgusting.
A Glastonbury audience member has been criticised online for flying a flag showing a still from Kim Kardashian’s sex tape during Kanye West’s headlining set. Kardashian, who is four months pregnant, attended her husband’s Pyramid Stage set at the British festival on Saturday night and later called it the ‘craziest show ever’ on twitter.
Kim Kardashian appear on the flag of one audience member at Glastonbury on Saturday.
The flag showed a still from the tape, which featured Kardashian and her former partner Ray-J and was leaked without the reality star’s consent in 2007. The flag also had the words “Get Down, Girl, Get Head Get Down,” written across it.
Unsurprisingly Kanye West's headline set at Glastonbury last night has divided internet opinion.
Last night US rapper Kanye West headlined Glastonbury, Britain’s most iconic music festival, in a decision which was controversial even by standards set in recent years (remember all those Metallica nay sayers?). But now that it’s all over, just what did the Glastonbury audience make of Yezzus on the Pyramid stage?
Kanye West on Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage on Saturday.
With a stage set which featured nothing more than a ceiling made up of a few hundred lightbulbs, Kanye West took on Glastonbury solo, opening up with the very appropriate ‘Stronger’. But it wasn’t long until some drama went down, as midway through the third song Kanye fell victim to a stage invader, later identified as comedian Lee Nelson.
Kanye's entourage is so massive that a special viewing platform has been built to accommodate them.
With a matter of hours to go before he takes to the stage for his controversial Glastonbury headline show on Saturday night, it seems as if Kanye West is already making his presence felt. He’s bringing such a large entourage to the festival that other bands’ guestlists have had to be restricted.
British indie stars The Maccabees stated to BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat that they “were told we only had one guest each this time,” according to the band’s guitarist Felix White. “I've not got that many other friends who want to come, but I'm just making a point!”

The School of the Art Institute of Chicago conferred an honorary degree on the rap superstar on Monday, and duly "did a Kanye" with a bizarre acceptance speech.
Kanye West has shown that even college dropouts can become doctors. The School of the Art Institute of Chicago awarded the hip hop superstar an honorary doctorate on Monday afternoon.
Chicago’s DNAInfo first reported that 37 year old West was given the honour in recognition of his “transformative, genre-defying work”. Of course, such an occasion wouldn’t be complete without a memorable acceptance speech, and the rapper duly obliged.

The model was filmed making the comments during a nightclub appearance.
Amber Rose appears to be showing some regret over comments she made earlier this week accusing ex Kanye West of not writing his own songs. The model had told an audience during an appearance at the Supper Club in LA that West’s songs were actually written by rapper Travi$ Scott, who happened to be onstage at the time.
Rose seems to regret the comments she made about her ex.
“Stop playing n—s I used to f–k,” Amber told the club’s DJ after grabbing his microphone. “Stop. Why don’t we play the n—a who writes the songs for the other n—a? Travi$ Scott.” Despite being on stage at the time Scott did his best to stay out of the situation and opted not to react to Rose’s comments.
The study found there had been three music revolutions since the 1950s.
A study by the University of London and Imperial College has concluded that the emergence of hip hop has had the biggest impact on the charts of any genre since the 1950s. The study also found that the importance of The Beatles may have been overstated, suggesting that the fab five did not spark a musical revolution.
The Beatles may not have been that revolutionary
The study found there were three musical revolutions on the charts, the first being in 1964 with the rise of rock and roll bands such as The Beatles. The second was in the mid 80s with the use of synthesisers and drum machines, while the third came in 1991 when rap and hip-hop infiltrated the mainstream charts.

It's been a bad start to life for Tidal, with its mobile app tanking and now Kanye, one of its supporters, apparently deleting all mentions of it from his Twitter feed.
Less than a month after its star-studded New York re-launch, the subscription-only streaming service Tidal is showing early signs that it’s struggling. It’s already tanked on the app store, falling out of the top 700 iPhone downloads chart, and now it appears that Kanye West has deleted all references he’s made to the service on social media.
On Wednesday (April 22nd) Complex reported that the rapper had erased all mentions he’s made to Tidal on Twitter, despite being one of the most prominent supporters of the re-launch, standing alongside Jay Z at the famous press conference on March 30th and appearing in several ad spots for it subsequently. He also changed his profile picture from Tidal’s logo back to the front cover of his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

The rap superstar has denied that he's a part of the 'Illuminati'. But then he would say that, wouldn't he?
As one of the most successful and admired music makers in the world, and with business concerns extending into film and fashion, Kanye West has long been believed to be involved with a shadowy secret society referred to as the ‘Illuminati’.
In a new self-penned article for Paper Magazine, he’s laughed off such suggestions. Then again, if you were in a secret society and asked if you belonged to it, you’d say ‘no’… Anyway, let’s not go down that rabbit hole.
Back to Kanye: “If there was actually an Illuminati, it would be more like the energy companies. Not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world,” he wrote.

Kanye West is really pushing this "people's champion" thing.
Kanye West – rapper, designer, cool human being – performed a surprise gig last night. Not that much of a shock, since Kanye is prone to this kind of stunt every once in a while. But this one wasn’t in a dimly lit NY venue or an obscure borough of London – instead, Ye pitched camp in the middle of a lake in the Armenian capital of Yerevan.
Unfortunately, the gig was shut down by the police.
Let’s backtrack a little here Unless you’re an avid Kanye follower, you might not be aware that Kanye is currently on a sightseeing trip in Armenia, along with wife Kim Kardashian and sister-in-law Khloe. Kanye West was reported to have skipped an appearance on Friday night’s edition of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, where the rapper was expected to take part in the show’s famous ‘Mean Tweets’ segment. But while some reported the ‘Only One’ rapper’s no-show as a simple case of Kanye being Kanye, it seems the real story is a lot more reasonable.

After the rapper’s absence was heavily reported on, a rep for West told E! Online, "He was never confirmed to be on the show. We took extraordinary steps and worked directly with the show to try to make it happen.”

The rapper tells reporters that Obama's claims of not having his number are false.
Far from being abashed that the Obama says he hasn't got his number, Kanye West still insists that he's phone pals with the President. Of course, the Obama must get a lot of people's numbers, but West has never exactly managed a sentence without some exaggeration.
