K-X-P's new EP, Easy, was released on November 7th, 2011, their first release on new label, Melodic Records. The EP follows on from the Finnish band's self titled debut album, which was released on Smalltown Supersound in March 2011.
The spooky looking video for lead track Easy (Infinity Waits) was directed by Koja and showcases the bands hard rock sound with images of the band that has a night vision feel to it.
K-X-P are Tuomo Puranen; Timo Kaukolampi (electronics, vocals) and alternating drummers Anssi Nykanen and Tomi Leppanen. Prior to K-X-P, Timo played in the bands Op:l Bastards and Larry and the Lefthanded. Outside of the band, he is also the producer of Norwegian singer Annie. The band are renowned for their loud, improvisational live shows; Tuomo likens them to 'an electronic Motorhead.'
The other two songs on the Easy EP are: Cymbalim and Suhu Moments. K-X-P are working on their upcoming second album but no release date has been provided.
It was on this day (June 15th) in 1979 that Joy Division unveiled their iconic debut album 'Unknown Pleasures'.
