Justin Timberlake and Destiny’s Child seem to be holding each other’s hands through this whole come back malarkey. Both revealed their return within the same couple of days, and now both are set to make their live comeback on Super Bowl weekend.
At this stage it appears that Timberlake’s return is more pronounced; with Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland currently set to appear alongside Beyonce for a segment of her Super Bowl half-time show, whereas JT has a whole album good to go. Timberlake won’t be performing at the Super Bowl itself, according to Billboard, but he’ll be playing the night before at the DIRECTV Super Saturday Night Event, being held on February 2, 2013. The event is a benefit event for Shriners Hospitals for Children and ties in with the annual Celebrity Beach Bowl – an American football game contested by celebrities.
It’s a bit of a gimmicky live return, but it’s a live return nonetheless for the star, whose comeback single ‘Suit & Tie’ features Jay Z and is set to hit the top 10 on the Billboard Top 100 this week. The album we’re all waiting for was announced on January 13 and is called The 20/20 Experience. It’s his first since 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds.
